Molly Nyman is a British composer known for her bold, emotionally driven scores across film, television, and live performance. With a background in classical training and a passion for innovation, her work blends orchestral depth with contemporary sound design.
She began composing at the age of eight and trained at the Centre for Young Musicians before studying Music and Composition at Sussex University. After early roles at Classic FM and in television, she launched her own studio, quickly gaining recognition with her score for David Slade’s Hard Candy.
Molly has since collaborated with acclaimed directors including Michae I Winterbottom (A Mighty Heart, Road to Guantanamo), Nick Broomfield (Ghosts), and Louise Osmond (Deep Water). Her score for Shifty earned a BIFA nomination, and her work on The Arbor drew critical acclaim for its bold sound design.
She has also performed live with a 13-piece ensemble and served as Musical Director for Dubai’s largest-ever concert, reimagining the UAE national anthem with orchestra and choir.
Molly is passionate about protecting composer rights in the digital age and brings a lifelong love of music-from Mozart to Plan B-to every project she undertakes.
